| Tommy Berden launches own squash rackets |
Dutch champion Tommy Berden has launched his own squash rackets. In cooperation with Scip-It, the 26 year old, Berden will bring out three different models on the Dutch market. The rackets will be named TB Intimidator, TB Extreme and TB Excellence. The four time Dutch champion plays himself with the TB Intimidator and Berden is very satisfied with his racket:
It has always been my aim to have a squash racket with my own name and I am proud that I have been able, with help of Scip-It, to bring out my own rackets into the Dutch market. I have been playing a couple of weeks with the TB Intimidator now and I am very satisfied about the quality of the racket. Good material is crucial in obtaining good results and I am happy to be able to challenge my rivals with my own rackets.
Also Scipio van der Schoot from Scip-It is very content about the cooperation with Berden:
We, from Scip-It, felt it was an honor to work together with a great squash player as Tommy Berden to develop his own racket line. We have done this with a lot of pleasure and are happy with the input that we received from Berden. We are very satisfied with the end result.
The main point at the development was to keep the rackets as light as possible in their class. The rackets have been produced under a strong quality control, which made it possible to not use the base paint layer. The rackets are only painted with a transparent top layer which causes the original graphite to stay visible. This process ensured a weight reduction of 7%. The balance, shape and prize of the three TB models are all different, which enables everybody to play with a racket that belongs to his/her personal favour. The prizes have been kept low on purpose, the most expensive model (TB Intimidator) cost 119,95, to give everybody the possibility to play with a racket of the Dutch champion.
